It seems like spring just arrived and already summer is rushing toward us. Can you feel it? I can, because I’ve been eagerly waiting for the release of The Road to Paradise: A Vintage National Parks Novel. Writing a historical romance set at Mount Rainier National Park is a dream come true–and release day (June 6, 2017) is now less than a month away!
I have a couple of fun announcements for you. First off, if you pre-order the novel before its release day, my publisher is rewarding you with a pre-order bonus: special exclusive downloadable content to go along with the book.
What’s included in the exclusive download package?
- A Roosevelt Inspired Print
- Vintage-style Postcards with nature quotes and scripture verses
- An exclusive piece by Karen Barnett: The “Women of the National Parks”
My friend and fellow writer, Amy Drown, has already downloaded and printed her cards and poster and has decorated her office. Doesn’t it look great? She’s got me beat! I haven’t printed mine yet. I’m going to do that next!
So, if you haven’t pre-ordered yet, make sure to do that soon so you can claim your bonus material. If you’ve already pre-ordered, all you have to do is head over to the WaterBrook Multnomah website and follow the instructions.
While you’re over there, you can also get a sneak peek at the first chapter of The Road to Paradise.
See the Unboxing!
On Monday afternoon, I received some very special boxes from my publisher. The very first copies of The Road to Paradise. To celebrate, I recorded a FaceBook Live video of the unboxing. Just in case you didn’t get a chance to see it on FB, you can now watch it here. I hope you enjoy this detailed look at the cover and layout. There’s nothing like the smell of a new book!
